Our Story
Who We Are
Compass Adventure Outfitters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 with a simple mission: to provide direction, mentorship, and hope to youth through meaningful outdoor experiences. We primarily serve youth ages 9–18, especially those growing up in single-parent homes or without an active father figure.
Through trusted mentor relationships and hands-on adventures, we help young people develop confidence, leadership, responsibility, strong work ethic, and positive character traits that will serve them throughout their lives. Our goal is not only to create outdoor enthusiasts, but to help shape young men and women into capable, confident, and purpose-driven adults.
What We Do
Adventure with Purpose
Throughout the year, Compass mentors lead a variety of outdoor experiences designed to be both fun and life-changing. Every adventure creates opportunities for mentorship, skill-building, and personal growth.

Because of generous donors and volunteers, many youth are able to experience opportunities they otherwise would not have access to.

100% Volunteer-Led
Compass Adventure Outfitters operates entirely through volunteers. There are no paid staff positions, allowing donations to go directly toward serving youth and supporting program activities.
Sponsor a Youth
A sponsorship helps cover the cost of outdoor adventures, mentorship opportunities, equipment, and program expenses throughout the year.
Donate Equipment
We gladly accept new or gently used outdoor equipment, including camping gear, fishing gear, hunting equipment, boots, packs, optics, outdoor clothing, and other supplies that help make adventures possible.
Volunteer as a Mentor
Join our team of dedicated volunteers who invest their time, knowledge, and encouragement into the next generation through outdoor experiences.
Sponsor an Event
Partner with Compass to support a specific event, trip, or program that directly impacts youth and families in our community.
